Van Leuven Reunion

We had alot of fun at our first annual Van Leuven reunion. We basically rode 4-wheelers for the 3 days we were there. We camped at Bowden Draw and it was very beautiful up there. Lots of green meadows and wild flowers. Lots of mud holes that seemed to always attack the 4-wheelers no matter how hard the kids try to avoid them, ha ha. It was so nice to just hang out and relax. We missed having Kati and Rob there :(.

Glenwood Springs May 2011

At the last minute we decided to go to Glenwood for Korven's 8th Birthday. The last time we went was for Chelli's 8th birthday. The weather was perfect, not too hot and not too cold. We went out on Friday and after dinner went to the hot springs. Then Saturday went to the Glenwood adventure park. They had alot more attractions than they did 3 years ago. It's really neat to ride the tram up to the park which sits on top of a mountain. The coaster ride was everyone's favorite, even Kenndi loved it. You get to sit in your own car and ride down the mountain. The mechanical bull, a 4-D movie was cool. There were allot of other rides like a bungee jump, zip line, and a ride that flips you out over the mountain like a sling. It was a nice weekend til we reached Dinosaur on our way home and Kenndi ralphed all over. That poor kid!! I don't know what's up with her, seems like she's been sick for the last 2 weeks, she's even lost her little pot belly :(.

The "Outlaws" who wonder the grounds and visit with everyone while waiting in line.

Riding the bull. Kenndi looks like she knows what she's doing :)

Colorado was beautiful. This is shay riding the cool roller coaster that you can control the speed on. Very fun :)

Fathers Day

We had a great Father's Day. We saddled every available horse we had and went for a ride. The idea was we were moving cows, but they basically knew where they were going and the horses just followed :). We had perfect weather. I can't believe how grown up all my kids are. Kati and Chara are so beautiful and both on their own and doing so well. I'm so proud of them!! Shay will be starting Jr. High this fall. It makes me a little nervous. Chelli, is just Chelli, goofy and such a little spit fire. I may have to send her away when she hits the teenage years. So lucky we haven't had to go to the emergancy room this summer with Korven, every waking moment he is on his bike. He is quite the ladies man, is best friend is a girl, and whenever we go somewhere, it's always girls he is hanging out with. He too, may have to be sent away when he's a teenager. Kenndi is a mini-me of Chelli. Attitude to the extreme. Even though she only knows a few words, there is no doubt what she wants, and of course she gets it. Hopefully by the time she's a teenager I have the whole parenting thing figured out. Kaden, well Kaden is getting life figured out. Hopefully he will have his GED in the next 3 months, and will be on the road to knowing what he wants to be when he grows up :). Love my family soo much! So glad they are mine!

1st horse show

Well to say that I've been a blogger slacker would be an understatement. So we'll just pick up from this weekend and move on :)

Shay had her first horse show. Thanks to her Grandpa Bastian Shay and Chelli were both gifted new horses. They are soo excited. Shay won Reserve Champion in her age division. Despite having to switch horses half way through due to Cornpeach throwing a fit, breaking his halter and skinning up his hind legs. She did really well for her first show and most importantly she had a blast.

Kenndi is growing way too fast. She has got quite and attitude! There is no doubting what she wants even though she can't talk. She just recently discovered her "button" and she likes to collect rocks and put them in her pockets. Of course she gets all the attention she could ever want. Poor thing!

Chelli just finished soccer for the season. She literally had a ball. She loved it. I still have no clue of what the rules are. She made 4 goals in her last game. I loved that she wore a do-rag, I could always spot her. She was aggresive and loved kicking some butt. This was right up her alley. (couldn't get a dumb picture of her to upload)
